Planet Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Franklin, MA seeks an experienced hands-on Controller. to replace our retiring Controller. Automotive industry experience may be a plus, but is not a requirement.

Responsibilities:

· Help oversee and maintain the financial well-being of the company

· Provide insight into decisions as a part of the senior management of the company

· Oversee daily accounting operations, including cash, sales audit, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger in accordance with GAAP and other applicable regulations ensuring the timely maintenance of appropriate financial records

· Establish, improve, and implement procedures and systems necessary to maintain adequate accounting controls and proper financial records to safeguard company assets

· Ensure all Balance Sheet accounts have supported reconciliations

· Prepare and/or direct the preparation of all financial reports, externally and to stakeholders, including income statements, balance sheets and government reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required

· Ensure compliance with tax regulations

· Prepare for and facilitate external audits

· Supervise and support the accounting team, providing guidance, training and feedback as needed

· Critically review significant contracts, leases, and other supplier agreements

· Oversee outsourced Information Technology and maintain IT compliance and security

· Oversee Human Resources, including weekly payroll, calculation of compensation based on employee pay plans, commissions, new employee on-boarding, maintenance of employee records and compliance with State and Federal regulations

· Oversee, implement, and maintain employee benefit plans

Requirements

· 7+ years of financial operations experience managing direct reports in these functional areas

· Knowledge of general ledger, accounting principles and financial reporting

· Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance

· Computer skills with an understanding of how business software systems function and interrelate

· Solutions-oriented with time management skills to prioritize and multi-task

· Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally and the capacity to mobilize change in either a direct, indirect or intangible way within all levels of the organization

· Ability to build external relationships and effectively represent the organization

· Ability to think critically, solve problems, deal with ambiguity and look at complex issues from a strategic perspective in order to frame them and create effective plans

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
