Salary: $80,000 - $100,000, based on experience

Phillips & Associates is hiring an associate attorney to represent survivors and injured clients in rideshare and sexual abuse cases. You will work alongside senior trial attorneys on cases against rideshare companies, institutions, and other defendants.

This is a strong fit for a newer attorney who wants hands-on litigation experience and meaningful work. You will get mentoring, real responsibility, and a clear path to growing your trial skills.

What you'll do

• Support rideshare cases involving passenger assaults and crashes, and sexual abuse claims against institutions and organizations
• Meet with new clients, gather facts, and help evaluate potential claims
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motions
• Review records, including police reports, medical records, and institutional files
• Assist with depositions and take your own as you gain experience
• Help prepare cases for mediation and trial
• Stay in regular contact with clients, using a trauma-informed and respectful approach
• Coordinate with co-counsel and track deadlines in larger or multi-plaintiff cases

What you bring

Required

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active bar license in good standing
• 0–3 years of litigation experience (clerkships and recent graduates welcome)
• Strong research and writing skills
• Empathy, discretion, and sound judgment when working with clients who have experienced trauma
• Good organization and attention to detail

Preferred

• Plaintiff's personal injury, mass tort, or civil rights experience
• Law school clinic, internship, or advocacy work with survivors
• Spanish fluency, a plus

The salary range is $80,000 - $100,000, based on experience.
