Senior Systems Engineer (Tier 3)

Perfection PC is a managed IT services provider in Spokane serving businesses across the Pacific Northwest. We act as our clients' IT department: we keep their systems secure, their people productive, and their technology moving the business forward.

The role

The Systems Engineer III is a senior technical lead on our team. Most of your time goes to client projects (migrations, server and network buildouts, security rollouts) plus the escalations our Tier 1 and Tier 2 techs can't close.

What you'll do

• Lead client projects from plan to finish: Microsoft 365 and server migrations, firewall and network rebuilds, infrastructure refreshes. Set the schedule with the client and deliver on time.
• Resolve escalated tickets and find root cause, not just the fix.
• Be the lead tech on critical client emergencies.
• Set and document technical standards (configuration and security baselines) across client environments.
• Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 techs and review complex work.
• Write clear documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Log time accurately on every ticket and project, the same day.
• Advise clients on their technology roadmap.

What you bring

• 5+ years in IT support or systems administration; MSP experience strongly preferred
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Entra ID and Microsoft 365 administration
• Networking: firewalls (FortiGate a plus), VPN, VLANs, switching, wireless
• Security tools: EDR, email security, MFA and conditional access
• A track record of running projects to completion with clients
• Experience with RMM and PSA tools
• Comfortable using scripting (PowerShell), automation and AI tools to work faster
• Certifications valued (Microsoft, CompTIA, Fortinet, Cisco); degree preferred, not required

Pay and benefits

• $38.00 to $45.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule and location

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This is an in-office position at our Spokane office, with some flexibility based on business needs. Includes local and occasional regional travel to client sites, and occasional after-hours response for client emergencies.
