Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates (POA) has provided exceptional orthopaedic care to the Delmarva Peninsula community for over 74 years. With a team of 20 physicians, 30 PAs, and 4 NPs, POA offers a focused and specialized approach to orthopaedics while supporting the TidalHealth Peninsula Orthopaedic Institute.

The physicians represent a broad spectrum of sub-speciality orthopaedic care and provide advanced orthopaedic treatments and services. We value the intimacy of a small-town atmosphere and treat patients as friends and neighbors.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Physician Assistant (PA) within our clinics, hospitals, and ORs. The PA will be responsible for assisting in orthopaedic surgeries, conducting patient examinations, diagnosing injuries and conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing post-operative care.

The role will also involve collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, maintaining patient records, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Experience and knowledge in orthopaedic surgery
• Ability to assist in surgeries and perform surgical procedures
• Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with healthcare professionals
• Compassion and empathy for patients
• Active licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant (or graduating in 2026/early 2027)
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
