About this role
Know your way around a magazine, from the first layout to the final press-ready file? We’d like to meet you.
Peach Shake Studios is looking for an experienced, well-rounded graphic designer to work on city and regional magazines in both digital and print formats, along with supporting advertising and marketing materials.
You’ll collaborate with our creative and editorial team, take ownership of projects, and carry great design across print, digital, and social media.
Location and hybrid schedule
A reliable commute to our Sugar Hill Area office is required. Our team generally works remotely one day per week, with a goal of expanding to two as workflow and production needs allow. Applicants should be prepared for four office days per week under the current arrangement.
What we’re looking for
- Professional print design experience, including commercially printed multipage publications. Magazine layout and production experience will receive priority.
- Strong Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop skills, with the ability to manage layouts, revisions, proofs, and final files for commercial printing.
- Strong Illustrator and vector artwork skills, including recreating, cleaning up, and adapting logos for signage, print, digital, and social media.
- A strong eye for typography, page composition, and advertising, with the versatility to create effective email and social media graphics.
- Organization, accuracy, and dependable follow-through, including managing deadlines and taking projects through final production.
- Strong familiarity with North American geography and U.S. state markets, with attention to local businesses and community identity.
Hands-on experience with AI design tools is a plus. Curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools are important.
How to apply
Submit your résumé through Indeed. To activate your application for review, you must also email [email protected] with the following materials.
- A cover letter briefly introducing yourself and explaining how your experience fits this position.
- A relevant print portfolio containing two or three projects, including at least one commercially printed multipage publication. PDFs or direct project links are welcome. Briefly explain your contribution and whether you prepared the final printer files.
- Confirmation of your location, including your current city of residence and confirmation that you can reliably commute to our Buford office for the schedule described above.
- Your salary range, including both your minimum annual base salary for consideration and your realistic target annual base salary.
How to describe your salary range
Your minimum should be the lowest annual salary at which you would feel comfortable accepting this position. Below that amount, you would prefer to withdraw from consideration.
Your target should reflect the annual salary you realistically seek, grounded in your relevant experience, demonstrated abilities, and recent level of professional responsibility.
Please provide specific dollar amounts rather than “open” or “negotiable.” Briefly note any benefits or other compensation considerations that would materially affect your expectations.
All required materials must be received before your application will advance for consideration. Applicants who do not send the required email and cover letter cannot be considered.
