Occupational Therapist (Leave Replacement)

TITLE: Occupational Therapist

START DATE: January 2027 - June 2027

LOCATION: District Wide

BASIS OF EMPLOYMENT: Leave Replacement Position

RATE OF PAY: As per the established LTS Compensation Memorandum

• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy goals and interventions consistent with students' IEPs and applicable regulations.
• Support the development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills necessary for participation in school activities.
• Provide direct and/or consultative services in accordance with students' IEPs.
• Collaborate with instructional staff and related service providers to support access to the curriculum, classroom participation and progress towards educational goals,.,
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports as required.
• Participate in CSE meetings and contribute professional recommendations regarding students' occupational therapy needs and services.
• Communicate and collaborate with family and school personnel to promote the generalization of skills across educational settings.

Job Qualifications

• Current New York State licensure and registration as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Knowledge of special education regulations, IEP development, and educationally relevant occupational therapy practices.
