SKILLS REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have)
- 5+ years of experience in
Operations Research, Data Science, AI/ML, or Mathematical Optimization
, with strong experience solving complex business problems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Mathematical Optimization and optimization tools such as FICO Xpress, IBM CPLEX, or Gurobi.
- Strong understanding of Linear Programming (LP), mathematical modelling, optimization algorithms, and Operations Research techniques.
- Mandatory strong coding skills in Python and SQL, with experience working with large datasets and scalable analytical solutions.
- Proven experience developing, implementing, and optimizing mathematical models to address complex business and operational challenges.
Secondary (Good to Have):
- Experience with
Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
solutions and predictive modelling.
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
.
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable optimization and data science solutions.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and statistical skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional business, data, engineering, and technology teams.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced
Operations Research Data Scientist
with strong expertise in AI/ML, Mathematical Optimization, Operations Research, Python, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing optimization models using tools such as FICO Xpress, IBM CPLEX, or Gurobi, along with a strong understanding of Linear Programming and mathematical modelling.
The candidate will translate complex business requirements and large datasets into scalable optimization solutions that drive business and operational decisions.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement, and
optimize mathematical and Operations Research models
to solve complex business and operational problems.
- Build and deploy optimization solutions using
FICO Xpress, IBM CPLEX, Gurobi
, or similar optimization platforms.
- Apply
Linear Programming (LP)
and other mathematical optimization techniques to improve business processes, resource allocation, planning, and decision-making.
- Use
Python and SQL
to analyse large datasets, develop optimization algorithms, and build scalable data science solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective optimization and AI/ML solutions.
