About this role

.Field Operations Manager / Lead Technician

PUR-AYR Air Duct Cleaning & Restoration

Position Overview

PUR-AYR is seeking a motivated, dependable, and hands-on Field Operations Manager / Lead Technician to help oversee daily operations while actively participating in fieldwork.

This is not a desk-only management position. We need someone who can lead by example, work alongside technicians, communicate with customers, and help our company continue growing.

The ideal candidate is a natural leader with strong organizational skills, a solid work ethic, and the confidence to represent our company professionally.

Previous air duct cleaning experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates leadership potential, mechanical ability, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations & Leadership

  • Coordinate daily field assignments and technician schedules.
  • Lead technicians on residential and commercial projects.
  • Perform hands-on work alongside field employees.
  • Assist with air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, HVAC system cleaning, and restoration services.
  • Ensure technicians follow company procedures and safety standards.
  • Inspect completed work for quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with employee training and performance evaluations.
  • Maintain accountability for company equipment, vehicles, and supplies.

Business Development & Marketing

  • Represent PUR-AYR at business meetings, networking events, and community functions.
  • Build relationships with property managers, contractors, real estate professionals, and commercial customers.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Help develop strategies to increase service appointments and customer retention.
  • Identify opportunities to recommend additional services when appropriate.

Customer Relations

  • Communicate professionally with residential and commercial customers.
  • Conduct property walkthroughs and explain recommended services.
  • Assist with estimates, service recommendations, and project planning.
  • Address customer concerns and help resolve service-related issues.
  • Maintain a professional company image at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate tools and equipment.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding work.
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas when properly trained and equipped.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Dependable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and attend occasional business meetings.
  • HVAC, restoration, construction, or service industry experience is a plus.

We value work ethic, dependability, leadership ability, and willingness to learn over impressive resumes.

What We Offer

  • Paid training.
  • On-the-job training.
  • Opportunities for advancement.
  • Hands-on management experience.
  • Opportunity to help shape the growth of an established service company.
  • Supportive, team-oriented working environment.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be comfortable:

  • Working indoors and outdoors.
  • Using ladders, hand tools, and power equipment.
  • Lifting and moving equipment safely.
  • Performing physical labor throughout the workday.
  • Working in various residential and commercial environments.

Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities, motivates others, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.

This position is ideal for someone who wants more than just a job and is interested in developing a long-term career in field operations and business management.
