Day\-to\-day roles and responsibilities for this position include:
- Provide technical and managed services for all aspects of client IT and network platforms
- Troubleshoot IT, network and system issues both as independent components and broadly as a system
- Execute projects as defined by a statement of work
- Manage customer expectations, provide thought leadership and proactively drive customer results
- Support customer maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, audits, documentation and similar required to for proactive services
- Act as an escalation point and mentor for junior resources and/or a point of collaboration for other peers
- Execute standard daily activities such as time tracking, billing, documenting customer in the ticketing and tooling systems
- Deliver with a “customer first” mentality and provide excellent customer service at all times to all customers
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, obligations, communications steams, clients and projects in a fast\-paced environment
- Ability to efficiently manage and utilize resources such as tools, online information, peers and escalation points to quickly and effectively resolve complex problems
- Assist sales in the on\-going identification of risk and business opportunity for customer accounts
- Act as pre\-sales resource for the design, planning, and estimation of infrastructure projects
- Create and review basic project plans, statements of work content and customer documentation
**Technologies and Relevant Experience:**
- Strong Microsoft Server, Email and related platform experience
- Notable practical experience with Azure and O365 are required
- Strong knowledge of migrating from on premise solutions to Cloud based solutions
- Strong working knowledge of virtualization technologies like Hyper\-V and VMWare are necessary
- Strong network infrastructure experience with switches and routers is ideal
- Strong working knowledge of IPv4, including subnetting, DNS, DHCP, access\-lists, filtering, etc.
- Good working knowledge of security best practices, devices and protocols is ideal
- Solid experience with PowerShell is highly desirable
- Practical project experience in server migrations, OS updates (in place and lift and shift), virtualization, O365 implementation, Cloud migration, wireless deployments, etc. is necessary
- Certifications such a Microsoft MCSE, Azure Certifications, Cisco CCXX, CISSP, CEH, etc. are ideal
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 5\+ years of field support and/or managed services experience
- Minimum of 5\+ year of IT and network build and troubleshooting
- Hands on experience with servers, workstations, laptops, switches and routers
- Hands on experience with security appliances, hardware and technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication – both internally and externally – are critical
- Ability to work eight hours a day sitting, using a keyboard, and speaking on the phone
- Ability to bend, stoop \& carry
- Travel reasonable distances by foot and in all weather conditions
- Insurable driving record, current driver license, proof of current auto insurance meeting the minimum limits
- Position will be a mix of project, customer site and in office, so travel in the Chicagoland area is required
**Role is required to be onsite in the office or at the client location. **
Job Type: Full\-time
Pay: $75,000\. 00 \- $125,000\. 00 per year
