Full Stack Developer - .Net / Azure / React

OtterSoft is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in . NET, Azure, React, and AI-powered application development. This role is ideal for a developer who combines strong backend engineering and Azure cloud expertise with deep, hands-on frontend development experience, particularly with React and modern frontend technologies.

We are looking for someone who can work across the entire application stack while bringing a strong frontend perspective to the development of modern, scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable building sophisticated React user experiences and designing scalable . NET/Azure backend services.

This is an AI-first engineering role. We use AI as a core part of the software development lifecycle—not simply as an occasional productivity tool. We build, ship, test, and iterate quickly, measuring progress through working software and business value.

What You'll Do

Full-Stack Development

• Design and develop enterprise-grade full-stack applications using React and .NET.
• Own features from technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the entire application stack.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, UI/UX designers, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions.

Frontend Development – Strong Emphasis

• Design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable React applications.
• Build sophisticated, reusable React components and frontend architectures.
• Develop applications using React, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Apply modern frontend development practices to create maintainable, scalable applications.
• Implement effective state management, component architecture, form handling, validation, and API integration.
• Optimize frontend performance, responsiveness, usability, and reliability.
• Build responsive applications that work effectively across modern browsers and devices.
• Establish and maintain reusable frontend patterns, components, and development standards.
• Work closely with UI/UX designers and product stakeholders to translate designs and requirements into production-ready experiences.
• Help identify opportunities to improve frontend architecture, performance, maintainability, and overall user experience.

Backend & . NET Development

• Develop highly scalable backend services using C#, .NET 8+, and ASP.NET Core.
• Design, build, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs.
• Develop secure, scalable backend architectures.
• Implement asynchronous and event-driven processing.
• Optimize application performance across APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.

Azure Cloud Development

• Architect scalable backend solutions using Azure services.
• Develop Azure Functions for event-driven and serverless workloads.
• Design and manage Azure API Management (APIM) implementations.
• Build high-performance data solutions using SQL Server and Azure Cosmos DB.
• Implement Azure Service Bus and asynchronous messaging.
• Apply Azure cloud architecture best practices.
• Ensure application security, scalability, monitoring, reliability, and performance.

AI-Powered Development

• Implement Azure AI Search to power intelligent application search and retrieval experiences.
• Develop AI-powered application capabilities using Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry.
• Work with AI-powered search, retrieval, and RAG-based solutions.
• Use AI tools as a primary development accelerator.
• Incorporate AI into architecture, development, testing, refactoring, documentation, and troubleshooting.

Frontend – High Priority

• Strong hands-on expertise with React and modern frontend application development.
• Deep experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining complex, scalable React applications.
• Strong understanding of reusable component architecture and frontend development patterns.
• Experience with frontend state management, API integration, form handling, validation, and performance optimization.
• Ability to translate UI/UX designs and product requirements into high-quality production applications.
• Experience developing responsive and maintainable frontend experiences.
• Ability to contribute to frontend architecture and establish development best practices.

Candidates should demonstrate meaningful depth in frontend development. React should be a significant part of their hands-on development experience, rather than simply a technology they have used occasionally within a primarily backend-focused role.

Backend

• Expert-level experience with C# and .NET Core/.NET 8+.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of scalable backend architecture.

Azure

• Expert-level Azure Functions development.
• Expert-level Azure API Management (APIM).
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud architecture.
• Strong experience with Azure Cosmos DB.
• Experience with Azure Service Bus and asynchronous messaging.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Git-based source control.

Data

• Expert-level SQL Server development, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience designing efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and data models.
• Experience with Azure Cosmos DB and cloud-native data solutions.

AI

• Strong experience implementing Azure AI Search.
• Experience building AI-powered applications.
• Experience using AI coding and development tools such as:

Preferred Qualifications
