About this role

HR Generalist

Central Network Retail Group | CNRG (Division of Orgill)

Full time | Location: [City, State] | Pay range: [Insert approved range]

Are you the person who keeps details organized, follows through, and makes it easier for others to get things done? CNRG is seeking an HR Generalist to provide day-to-day administrative support to retail hardware stores across at

least two of our brands. Your work will help employees get answers, store managers stay on track, and our HR team keep essential processes running smoothly.

About the role

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on HR administration, accurate records, and helping employees and managers. You will work closely with your assigned HR Business Partner, store leaders, and Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition teams. You will handle routine requests using established procedures and refer complex employee relations and policy questions to the appropriate HR partner.

What you will do

 Process and verify employee changes, including new hires, transfers, pay changes, and separations; maintain accurate, confidential employee records.

 Manage job postings and applicant sourcing for hourly roles, including coordinating and attending hiring events to connect with candidates and support store staffing needs.

 Coordinate onboarding paperwork, required screenings, employment eligibility verification, and orientation scheduling; follow up on missing items.

 Answer routine questions about HR forms, system access, and procedures, and connect employees with the right resources.

 Help resolve timekeeping and payroll questions by gathering information and coordinating approved corrections with managers and Payroll.

 Track attestations, policy acknowledgments, required training, and other deadlines; send reminders, maintain logs, and escalate unresolved items.

 Process paperwork and prepare routine reports across key functional areas (benefits, safety, payroll, learning & development).

 Coordinate HR communications, calendars, and meeting logistics.

 Organize employee relations documentation under HR direction and help improve everyday forms, checklists, and tracking tools.

What you will bring

 At least two years of experience in HR administration, employee records, onboarding, or a related support role.

 High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant education and experience demonstrating the required skills.

 Experience maintaining employee information in an HR system and using Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, email, and standard business applications.

 Strong organization, attention to detail, clear communication, and dependable follow-through across multiple requests and deadlines.

 A service-oriented approach, sound judgment, and the ability to protect confidential information.

Preferred

An associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field; experience supporting retail or another hourly workforce across multiple locations; and familiarity with onboarding, timekeeping, and document

management systems.

Work setting and how to apply

Based within the assigned support region, this position performs primarily administrative work in an office or approved remote setting, with store visits and travel as assigned. Occasional schedule flexibility may be needed to

support store operations and deadlines.
