About this role
Job Description We are seeking a hands-on technical leader to build and deploy the dashboards, reports, and AI-enabled analytics that help senior leadership understand operational performance, identify risks, and make informed decisions. We have an established database foundation supported by data entry and governance processes.
This role will build on that foundation by turning trusted data into reliable reporting products that people use in their daily work. The position will integrate information from Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), our scheduling platform, Oracle Primavera Unifier, and Oracle APEX applications and their underlying data sources.
The successful candidate will personally write queries, develop reporting models, build dashboards, connect systems, and deploy solutions into production. They will also establish reporting priorities and technical standards, working closely with business leaders, system owners, and technical teams.
The role carries substantial technical ownership and can operate as a senior individual contributor leading cross-functional delivery. Strong technical execution must be paired with analytical judgment and clear communication. This person should be able to investigate a discrepancy in the underlying data, explain its business significance, and deliver an accurate, concise view for executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Dashboard and Reporting Development Design, build, and deploy executive and operational dashboards that provide consistent views of schedules, milestones, delivery progress, dependencies, and emerging risks.
- Translate business questions into defined metrics, data requirements, reporting logic, and intuitive visualizations with useful filters and drill-down capabilities.
- Develop reusable datasets, SQL queries, and reporting models that support multiple dashboards and reduce manual report preparation.
- Own reporting solutions through requirements, development, testing, deployment, user adoption, and ongoing maintenance.
- Oracle Systems and Data Integration Connect OPC, Unifier, and APEX-related data through supported APIs, database views, approved extracts, or existing integration pipelines, working with system owners to determine the appropriate approach.
- Reconcile project identifiers, reporting periods, status definitions, and data granularity across systems so combined reports remain accurate and meaningful.
- Build or extend automated data transformations and refresh workflows; investigate failed loads, stale data, and integration issues with the appropriate technical teams.
- AI Models and Analytical Automation Apply AI models, including large language models where appropriate, to practical reporting needs such as summarizing operational updates, explaining variances, and helping users explore approved data.
- Use Python, model APIs, and other appropriate tools to prototype, evaluate, and deploy repeatable analytical workflows Ground AI-generated insights in verifiable source data, test output quality against representative examples, and establish human review where needed.
- Assess model accuracy, reliability, cost, and business usefulness before expanding a solution; protect confidential information through approved tools and access controls.
- Use AI-assisted development effectively while independently reviewing and testing generated code, queries, calculations, and conclusions.
- Reporting Reliability and Data Integrity Build on existing governance processes to maintain documented metric definitions, calculation rules, source mappings, ownership, and data lineage.
- Validate dashboard results against source systems and approved business definitions before release; make refresh timing and data limitations visible to users.
- Implement appropriate access controls, version control, release documentation, and monitoring so reporting products remain secure and supportable.
- Optimize query and dashboard performance, resolve defects, and work with data owners to address recurring quality issues at their source.
- Executive Partnership and Technical Leadership Work with executives and operational leaders to identify the decisions reporting must support and prioritize a practical delivery roadmap.
- Present the few insights, risks, and actions that matter most, with enough supporting detail to answer follow-up questions.
- Develop working fluency in data center operations, infrastructure deployment, hardware testing, commissioning, and server turn-up to interpret operational information accurately.
- Lead cross-functional delivery with clear owners, milestones, and follow-through; provide technical direction to internal partners or vendors as needed.
- Train users, gather feedback, and improve reporting products based on actual use and changing business needs.
Responsibilities
- Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is an experienced builder who remains comfortable doing the technical work personally.
- They can move between SQL, data models, dashboard design, AI workflows, and executive conversations without losing accuracy or momentum.
- They ask where a number came from, whether its calculation is defensible, and what decision it supports.
- They enjoy learning unfamiliar technical operations, take ownership of production reliability, and continue improving a solution after its initial release.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 8–12 or more years of relevant experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, data engineering, technical analytics, or a related discipline, with demonstrated ownership of complex reporting solutions.
- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases, data modeling, data transformation, and query optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to independently build, publish, and maintain production dashboards using an enterprise platform such as Oracle Analytics, Power BI, Tableau, or an equivalent tool.
- Proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language for data preparation, API integration, analytical automation, and troubleshooting.
- Practical experience working with AI models and integrating them into analytical or business workflows, including evaluating outputs against source data.
- Experience extracting and combining enterprise application data through APIs, database connections, or automated integration processes Strong understanding of metric definitions, reporting granularity, reconciliation, data quality, and access controls.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into working technical solutions and explain findings clearly to senior executives.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional delivery with limited oversight, sound judgment, and persistent follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud, Oracle Primavera Unifier, or Oracle APEX, including their data structures, reporting, or integration capabilities. Experience with Oracle Database, PL/SQL, Oracle Analytics, or developing reporting functionality within APEX. Experience with project controls, schedule and milestone reporting, capital projects, or portfolio analytics.
Experience deploying AI workflows that retrieve approved enterprise information and provide traceable answers or summaries. Familiarity with data center operations, construction, infrastructure deployment, hardware validation, or commissioning. Experience setting technical standards, mentoring developers or analysts, or directing vendor delivery.
What Success Looks Like Within the first year, the successful candidate will: Deliver a prioritized set of production dashboards and reports using OPC, Unifier, and APEX-related data, with documented calculations and reliable refresh schedules. Establish reporting that executives and operational teams use regularly to identify schedule changes, delivery risks, and required actions.
Reduce manual reporting effort and recurring reconciliation issues against an agreed baseline. Demonstrate measurable value from selected AI workflows, with documented validation and clear accountability for outputs. Leave reporting solutions documented, maintainable, and supported by clear ownership and user training.
Leadership Attributes Technical depth and willingness to build Relentless commitment to accuracy Intellectual curiosity Clear executive communication Practical judgment about AI Ownership and follow-through Collaborative problem solving Discretion and integrity Qualifications Disclaimer: Certain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements.
