A leading publishing company is hiring a Junior Book Designer to support their creative team. Located in our client’s office, this temp role involves working on a variety of children’s and young adult book projects. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a passion for children’s literature, strong design skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

**Junior Book Designer Responsibilities:**

• Collaborate with the creative team to develop original book layouts and cover designs.
• Prepare interior pages and cover mechanics using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Design typography and visual elements to create engaging jackets and interior pages.
• Coordinate with illustrators, photographers, and letterers, providing creative direction.
• Review color proofs and attend meetings to ensure project quality and deadlines are met.

**Junior Book Designer Qualifications:**

• Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or comparable experience.
• 1\-3 years of graphic design experience preferred.
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite and print design concepts.
• Excellent organizational abilities and multitasking skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with editors and creative staff.
