JOB SUMMARY
The Product Marketing Manager is the primary marketing partner to OnPoint’s lending, deposit, and ancillary product owners, responsible for driving measurable, profitable growth across the product portfolio.
This role translates business objectives into clear go-to-market strategy, defining target audiences, positioning, messaging direction, and success metrics, and serves as the connective tissue between business line stakeholders and the marketing team.
The Product Marketing Manager owns and continuously improves Marketing’s Business Partner Model. While multiple marketing team members may maintain assigned stakeholder relationships, this role establishes the frameworks, standards, tools, and operating rhythms that create a consistent stakeholder experience and ensure business priorities are translated into actionable marketing direction.
This role will also directly own assigned stakeholder relationship(s).
Under the direction of the Director, Creative & Brand Services, this role blends product strategy, storytelling, performance marketing, and analytics. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable shaping a compelling value proposition and using insights from core systems, CRM platforms, digital analytics tools, and business intelligence dashboards to guide decisions.
This position drives product growth, portfolio penetration, member acquisition, cross-sell performance, and campaign ROI, using member insight and data as the foundation for every decision.
The Product Marketing Manager leads OnPoint’s Stakeholder & Product Marketing Work Group, ensuring marketing stays aligned to the business and that product messaging remains a reliable source of truth.
As a highly analytical, strategically minded owner of outcomes, this individual is a strong communicator who moves fluidly between executive-ready recommendations and hands-on collaboration with creative, digital, analytics, and campaign teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the primary marketing contact for assigned business lines, partnering with product owners to understand goals, priorities, portfolio performance, and growth opportunities.
- Own and continuously improve Marketing’s Business Partner Model, including the frameworks, standards, tools, and operating rhythms used to manage stakeholder relationships across the department.
- Guide and support marketing team members who own assigned stakeholder relationships to support consistent communication and service standards.
- Maintain a holistic view of stakeholder priorities across business lines to identify cross-functional opportunities, redundancies, dependencies, and enterprise-level marketing needs.
- Develop stakeholder engagement processes that improve visibility, alignment, prioritization, and communication between marketing and business partners.
- Translate business needs into clear marketing direction, developing structured business briefs that define objectives, audiences, value propositions, key messaging, and success metrics.
- Manage the oversight and delivery of cross-functional marketing projects, ensuring initiatives are completed on time and on budget, and reporting status and results to line-of-business stakeholders.
- Develop annual and quarterly product marketing plans grounded in member segmentation and portfolio performance insights.
- Define product positioning, value propositions, and messaging direction that clearly convey the value of OnPoint’s offerings and motivate members and prospects to act.
- Lead end-to-end go-to-market strategy for assigned product launches and key initiatives, from concept through launch and post-launch optimization, ensuring alignment with brand standards and organizational goals.
- Serve as a strong storyteller who embodies the voice of the member, bridging the gap between product benefits and why they matter to different audiences.
- Identify growth opportunities using core system data, performance insights, and digital behavioral analytics, and define measurable growth hypotheses for testing and optimization.
- Partner with the Senior Performance Marketing Analyst to define business questions, KPIs, measurement needs, and analytical priorities for product and portfolio initiatives.
- Use performance analysis and member insights to recommend product marketing, audience, positioning, and go-to-market improvements.
- Define strategic segmentation needs and apply audience insights to product marketing plans, briefs, and recommendations.
- Conduct win/loss, competitive, and market analysis to understand member pain points, decision-making, and reasons for churn, equipping broader OnPoint teams with valuable insights.
- Partner with the marketing team, creative leads, and agency partners to support multi-channel campaigns, including email, digital, branch, paid media, and direct mail, that bring go-to-market plans to life.
- Collaborate with the Lead Marketing Strategist to align campaign plans with audience strategy, and with the Manager, Marketing Programs to ensure initiatives are clearly defined prior to prioritization.
- Ensure product messaging is consistent, compliant, and compelling across all channels, embedding brand, legal, and regulatory checkpoints throughout the process.
- Present data-backed recommendations, performance results, and insights to marketing leadership, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Partner with the Senior Performance Marketing Analyst to develop monthly and quarterly product performance narratives and executive-ready reporting that connect marketing activity to product and business outcomes.
