About Us:
nVIUS Graphics is a specialized prepress service provider supporting the packaging and printing industry. We manufacture high-quality photopolymer printing plates used in flexographic printing for packaging like bags, labels, and more. We don’t just deliver products — we deliver precision, craftsmanship, and reliability to our clients.
Position Summary:
nVIUS Graphics is seeking a senior-level prepress professional to prepare customer artwork for flexographic plate production. This is a technical production position rather than a traditional creative graphic-design role.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience evaluating and preparing files for print, including trapping, overprints, separations, distortion, step-and-repeat, screening considerations, and customer-specific production requirements. The successful candidate should be able to recognize potential printing problems, make sound production decisions, and manage complex artwork with a high degree of accuracy.
Experience with our specific software is helpful but not essential. We can train an experienced prepress professional to use Hybrid Packz, Cloudflow, and Tectonics; however, candidates should already possess a strong working knowledge of print production and prepress fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer artwork and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and printability.
- Prepare files for flexographic plate production, including trapping, overprints, knockouts, separations, distortion, screening, layout, and step-and-repeat.
- Identify potential production or press problems and communicate questions or recommendations clearly to customers.
- Produce and carefully review electronic proofs before customer approval and plate manufacturing.
- Manage multiple active jobs and priorities in a deadline-driven production environment.
- Work collaboratively with customers and internal plate-production personnel.
- Use Hybrid Packz, Cloudflow, Tectonics, Adobe Illustrator, and related production software.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional experience in prepress, print production, or packaging graphics.
- Strong understanding of trapping, overprints, knockouts, color separations, registration, bleeds, screening, and other print-production fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and experience working with production-ready files.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and apply them accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to perform thorough self-checks.
- Ability to identify file problems and make informed decisions about print quality without step-by-step supervision.
- Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience preparing artwork for flexographic printing.
- Experience with poly bags, labels, folding cartons, or other packaging applications.
- Experience with Hybrid Packz, Cloudflow, or Tectonics.
- Familiarity with photopolymer plate production, distortion, screening, and plate-layout requirements.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary, based on skills and experience.
- Eligible for Sales Commission Program.
- Retirement plan — employee contributions with company match.
- BCBS health insurance (employee contributes a portion of the cost)
- Seven paid holidays per year
- Paid Time Off (PTO) that accrues based on time worked
- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- A family-owned company culture where your work makes a visible difference
- On-site, Monday–Friday 8am - 4:30pm schedule with occasional flexibility.
