Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Indiana is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Accountant.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge in general ledger accounting; month-end closing and financial report preparation; computer skills including advanced use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; internal control processes; problem solving and root cause analysis; and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in Accounting or related field (OR) 2-year degree in Accounting or related field and 1 years relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
• Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years of Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Five or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, or financial reporting
