About this role
About the role
This is a chance to write the first version of a product on the newest Microsoft stack and see your code run a real business. The platform handles title, settlement, escrow and recording for title agencies, and every closing it touches moves real money.
The problems are the kind good developers enjoy solving: ledgers that must balance to the penny, client data that can never cross between accounts, and AI features that read documents people used to type in by hand.
You will own whole modules from the database to the screen and work directly with the founder. Decisions get made in a conversation with the person who owns the product, with no scrum master or ticket queue in between. Mortgage, title or lending experience is a plus, but strong .NET and Azure skills matter more.
Why developers want this job
- You start on .NET 10, React 19 and Azure with a clean codebase and no legacy debt to carry
- AI-assisted development with Claude Code is part of how the team builds every day
- We are hiring two, so you will have a peer to build with from your first week
- Hybrid is available, so you won't be making the drive every day
Location: East Brady, PA. You can work on-site daily or on a hybrid schedule, so you need to live within commuting distance (Butler, Kittanning, Clarion, Cranberry and the North Hills all work).
Hours
US Eastern business hours, with a short planning check-in each morning and a weekly demo. Experience: 5 to 7 years, mid-level.
Employment
Full-time, direct-hire employee.
What you will do
- Own whole modules end to end, including the domain model, EF Core schema and migrations, API endpoints, React screens and tests
- Build on a modular .NET 10 system using ASP.NET Core minimal APIs and EF Core, with each module in its own schema and events sent through Azure Service Bus
- Build web screens in React 19 and TypeScript using MUI, TanStack Query and React Hook Form
- Write financial logic that has to be exact, such as an escrow ledger where posted entries never change, disbursements that need two approvals, wire controls and holdbacks
- Produce settlement statements in Closing Disclosure, ALTA and HUD-1 formats from one set of data
- Keep every client's data fully separate, with a database per tenant and tests that prove no data crosses between tenants
- Connect outside services, including Entra External ID, title search providers and underwriters, Simplifile e-recording, MuleSoft order feeds and Business Central
- Help build the first AI features, such as reading lender Closing Disclosures and taking in emailed orders, always with a person reviewing the results
What you bring
- 5 to 7 years of professional software development, including 4 or more years with C# and ASP.NET Core
- At least one system you took from design to production
- EF Core in production, including schema design, safe migrations and SQL Server or Azure SQL performance
- React and TypeScript in production, with enough depth to build full screens and shared components
- Hands-on Azure experience with Container Apps or AKS, Azure SQL, Service Bus, Key Vault, managed identity and Application Insights
- A habit of writing tests as you build, including unit, integration and architecture tests
- Experience with systems that handle money or regulated data, such as ledgers, approvals, audit trails or immutable records
- Comfort using decimal math and rounding rules correctly
- Multi-tenant SaaS experience, including keeping tenant data separate at the database level
- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, along with the judgment to review AI-written code closely
- Clear written English and the ability to work independently without a large team around you
Nice to have
- Mortgage, title, escrow or settlement experience, especially with Closing Disclosures, ALTA statements, HUD-1, title commitments or recording
- Integration work with underwriters (Fidelity, First American, Westcor), Simplifile, Snapdocs, Encompass or MuleSoft
- Background in fintech, lending, insurance, payroll or ERP software
- Document generation with Syncfusion DocIO, QuestPDF or similar tools
- Building on an LLM API, including structured extraction, evaluation and human review steps
- Security work such as threat modeling, OWASP, authorization design or SOC 2 preparation
- Bicep or Terraform, and GitHub Actions
- Entra External ID or another customer identity platform
- Workflow or state-machine engines built on a message bus
- Working knowledge of Vue 3 to support some older applications
Pay: $90,100.00 - $150,000.00 per year
