Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CAD Platform Engineer to serve as a technical SME for mechanical CAD (mCAD) and electrical CAD (eCAD) platforms integrated with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions.
The role will support CAD platform operations, enterprise onboarding, CAD-PLM integrations, deployment activities, and continuous improvement initiatives that enable the digital thread across R&D, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT in a regulated medical device environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as technical SME for mCAD and eCAD platforms integrated with enterprise PLM systems.
- Support CAD platform administration, integrations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and operational stability.
- Support CAD-PLM data structures, attributes, versioning, visualization, and Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) generation.
- Support enterprise onboarding, deployments, migrations, and adoption of CAD and PLM capabilities.
- Partner with engineering teams to establish compliant CAD workflows and engineering data governance practices.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validation readiness, release activities, technical documentation, and end-user training.
- Identify CAD capability gaps and recommend enhancements to improve engineering efficiency, design quality, data integrity, and reuse.
- Provide technical guidance, standards, best practices, and lessons learned through the CAD Community of Practice (CoP).
- Partner with Product Owners, Process Owners, and deployment teams to prioritize improvements and evaluate emerging CAD, PLM, visualization, automation, and digital-thread capabilities.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent demonstrated experience).
- 5–8+ years' experience supporting CAD tools, PLM systems, engineering applications, or engineering data management.
- Hands-on experience with mCAD and/or eCAD platforms integrated with PLM systems.
- Experience with enterprise PLM platforms (e.g., Windchill or similar).
- Working knowledge of product development, part structures, configuration management, design control, and engineering data governance.
- Experience supporting CAD integrations, user workflows, troubleshooting, UAT, documentation, and release activities.
- Strong collaboration skills across R&D, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, IT, Product Owners, and deployment teams.
- Strong systems thinking, root-cause analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills in a global environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Creo/Creo View; SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, Altium, or comparable CAD tools.
- Experience supporting enterprise CAD deployments, migrations, onboarding, or platform upgrades.
- Experience in MedTech or another regulated R&D environment.
- Understanding of digital thread concepts and downstream manufacturing and quality processes.
- Experience developing technical guidance, training, standards, or CAD governance practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Pay: $55. 00 - $65. 00 per hour
