About this role
Role Focus
==============
- The role is centered on customer-facing technical success: understanding production questions, applying Max Production workflows, supporting adoption, and carrying work through operating use.
- The candidate should bring meaningful depth in either production and artificial-lift operations or digital, automation, data, and industrial software, with the ability and interest to learn across the other area.
- The role coordinates with specialists in software engineering, platform architecture, advanced optimization, product management, and field operations rather than requiring one person to own every discipline.
Own customer context
------------------------
Build a practical understanding of assigned customers, assets, lift systems, stakeholders, workflows, priorities, and open technical questions. Keep priorities, decisions, commitments, and next actions clear.
Lead technical customer work
--------------------------------
Work with customer engineers to investigate production behavior, data questions, artificial-lift operation, and optimization opportunities. Use Max Production to turn operating questions into structured work and practical recommendations.
Carry work into use
-----------------------
Support trials, onboarding, training, technical reviews, adoption, operating decisions, and follow-up. Help customers incorporate useful Max Production workflows into daily engineering and operations.
Coordinate specialists
--------------------------
Connect customer needs to Product, Engineering, Support, field personnel, artificial-lift specialists, and 24/7 Engineering and Optimization Services. Provide the context needed for those teams to contribute effectively.
Support platform health
---------------------------
Help resolve data quality, connectivity, configuration, access, performance, and product issues. Document business impact, coordinate escalation, communicate clearly, and confirm the customer’s resolution or next plan.
Demonstrate value
---------------------
Track progress around visibility, decision quality, response time, workflow adoption, operational consistency, and service coverage. Support renewal and expansion discussions with credible technical and usage evidence.
Represent the customer
--------------------------
Capture product feedback, workflow gaps, integration needs, and release impacts. Bring relevant improvements and product guidance back to customers in a clear, useful form.
Required Qualifications
===========================
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, energy technology, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Three or more years of experience in production engineering, artificial lift, customer success engineering, technical account management, industrial automation, SCADA, IIoT, SaaS implementation, or a related role.
- Meaningful depth in at least one relevant area: upstream production and artificial lift, or digital and industrial technology such as automation, data, APIs, cloud applications, or software-enabled services.
- Experience working directly with customers or internal technical stakeholders to investigate problems, explain recommendations, support implementation, or improve operating workflows.
- Strong communication, structured problem solving, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through across customers and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
============================
- Experience with ESPs or other artificial-lift systems, production surveillance, well-performance analysis, nodal or IPR analysis, pump-performance evaluation, or set-point optimization.
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, SCADA, industrial protocols, historian data, APIs, databases, cloud applications, or customer-facing analytics platforms.
- Experience with software testing, feature feedback, release communication, workflow definition, or product improvement; formal product-management experience is not required.
- Experience supporting customer adoption, technical reviews, renewals, expansion discovery, or value-realization programs.
