SUMMARY
The Technical Product Owner will oversee and manage the technology products used by various business units within the company. As part of the IT team, this role will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, help define the product, and ensure that the technical solutions delivered align with business goals.
The Technical Product Owner for CRM collaborates with internal clients and stakeholders to develop and implement customer relationship management systems. Specifically, this role will spearhead the enterprise deployment and ongoing management of HubSpot, focusing heavily on the initial launch of the Marketing, Sales, and Support (Service) Hubs.
This position involves managing technical projects, integrating HubSpot with existing platforms, and ensuring seamless customer and operational workflows across these core business functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the main point of contact for the assigned technology products (HubSpot CRM), ensuring they meet business unit needs and are aligned with the company’s overall IT strategy.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and understand product requirements for HubSpot workflows, pipelines, and ticketing configurations.
- Translate these needs into clear, actionable product backlogs and prioritize them based on business value and impact.
- Maintain a well-organized product backlog that aligns with business and technical priorities.
- Collaborate with other product owners, system coordinators and IT operations to ensure technical feasibility and alignment of product features with IT architecture and infrastructure.
- Act as the liaison between business units and the IT team, ensuring that stakeholder expectations are managed and product changes are communicated effectively.
- Ensure that new product features, automation rules, or updates within HubSpot are adequately tested and meet the necessary quality standards before deployment.
- Collaborate with IT support to address any technical issues that arise within the CRM platform and integrated technologies.
- Lead product release planning and ensure changes are appropriately managed and communicated to business units and IT teams.
- Monitor the impact of changes and ensure that they result in measurable improvements across marketing campaign tracking, sales pipelines, and support SLA metrics.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing products or implement new features that enhance business processes or user experiences.
- Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies that could benefit the business.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation, including product features, processes, and change logs. Ensure this information is easily accessible to stakeholders.
CRM & HubSpot Administration
- Manage the HubSpot CRM platform and serve as the subject matter expert for the team.
- Recognizes the need for documentation and takes ownership in actively creating/improving documents.
- Define and supervise strategies for integrations between HubSpot and other systems, optimizing business processes and data flow.
- Configure account and user permission settings to support the organization’s sales, marketing, and support programs securely.
- Train and support internal users, as needed, on solution capabilities and best practices, ensuring that all technology skill levels can best leverage the data collection and solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, Business Systems Analyst or a similar role, focusing on technology products.
- Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise CRM platforms, specifically HubSpot.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working with Agile teams.
- Experience managing a product backlog, defining user stories, and prioritizing features based on business needs.
- Technical acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with development and IT teams on data integrations and API connections.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Official HubSpot Certifications (e.g., Marketing Software, Sales Software, Service Software, or HubSpot Administrator).
- Experience with product management tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, enterprise software, and integration best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, APIs, and data-driven applications.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- This position may require travel to execute or attend events.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
