We’re looking for an experienced

Systems Engineer 4

to support the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced avionics and communications systems in Huntsville, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Lead Systems Engineering activities across the full product lifecycle, including

system design, development, integration, test, delivery, product support, and retirement

.

• Develop, author, and deliver Systems Engineering artifacts and technical documentation in support of government contract requirements.
• Define and manage system requirements, system architectures, interfaces, and technical baselines.
• Apply Systems Engineering principles to resolve complex technical issues and support system-level design decisions.
• Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, verification, validation, and traceability documentation.
• Support system integration and verification activities, including development of test strategies, procedures, and documentation.
• Work with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure system requirements and technical objectives are met throughout development.
• Apply

Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

methods and tools to support system design, analysis, and lifecycle management.

• Use modeling and simulation techniques to support system design, analysis, validation, and technical decision-making.
• Develop technical deliverables for government customers and contract requirements.
• Review and defend engineering approaches, technical decisions, and Systems Engineering artifacts with internal teams and customers.
• Identify opportunities to improve system development processes, product quality, and engineering efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less-experienced Systems Engineers.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering/STEM discipline

.

• 8+ years of Systems Engineering or closely related engineering experience

.

• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance

.

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Demonstrated experience

personally developing, authoring, and delivering Systems Engineering artifacts

rather than solely contributing to them.

• Experience supporting the

full product lifecycle

, from system design and development through integration, test, delivery, product support, and retirement.

• Experience with

MBSE tools and methodologies

, including SysML or comparable modeling approaches.

• Experience with system modeling, simulation, analysis, and validation.
• Experience developing

technical documentation and deliverables for government contracts

.

• Preferred Experience

Defense or aerospace systems engineering experience.

• Experience with complex integrated avionics, communications, mission, or other defense systems.
• Experience with system requirements management and traceability.
• Experience developing system architectures and interface documentation.
• Experience with verification and validation activities.
• Experience with tools such as

Cameo, MagicDraw, IBM Rhapsody, DOORS, Jama, or similar Systems Engineering tools

.

• Experience working directly with government customers or government program requirements.
