Physical Therapist

Position Overview

New York Medical and Diagnostic Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Physical Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving patients’ mobility, function, and quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions and personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and goals
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and other rehabilitation techniques
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and recovery strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current New York State Physical Therapist license in good standing
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment
• Prior outpatient, orthopedic, pain management, rehabilitation, or multispecialty clinic experience preferred

Candidate Requirements

• Active and unrestricted New York State PT license
• Strong commitment to patient-centered care
• Ability to manage a diverse patient population with professionalism and empathy
• Experience with EMR documentation preferred
• Extremely efficient with time management
• Bilingual skills are a plus
