Job description

About this role

Practice Physical Therapy With More Time, More Autonomy, and One-on-One Patient Care

You became a Physical Therapist to evaluate movement, solve clinical problems, build trust with patients, and help people regain function and independence.

At New Smyrna Wellness in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, you will have the time and autonomy to do that work well.

You will provide one-on-one Physical Therapy, complete thorough evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, progress treatment based on measurable outcomes, and follow patients through each stage of rehabilitation.

This is not a role built around rushing patients through a schedule.

It is an opportunity to practice Physical Therapy in a supportive outpatient environment where clinical reasoning, patient relationships, quality treatment, and long-term outcomes matter.

Whether you are a new graduate Physical Therapist looking for mentorship or an experienced PT looking for more autonomy and a better weekday schedule, New Smyrna Wellness offers an environment where you can continue growing without giving up your life outside the clinic.

Compensation and Benefits

You will receive:

  • Competitive salary up to $80,000 per year, based on experience.
  • Paid Time Off.
  • One-on-one patient care.
  • Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Early Fridays every week.
  • No on-call responsibilities.
  • Ongoing clinical mentorship.
  • Continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Predictable weekday schedule.
  • Free uniforms.
  • Employee discounts.
  • Company events and team activities.
  • Supportive and collaborative clinic environment.

Why Physical Therapists Should ApplyTreat One Patient at a Time

You will provide one-on-one Physical Therapy, giving you the ability to focus on the patient in front of you.

That means more time to assess movement, explain your clinical findings, provide skilled treatment, progress exercise appropriately, and make thoughtful adjustments to the plan of care.

Use Your Clinical Judgment

You will have the autonomy to practice as a Physical Therapist.

You will complete evaluations, identify functional and movement limitations, establish meaningful goals, develop individualized treatment plans, and make clinical decisions based on each patient’s response and progress.

Your education and clinical reasoning are expected to be used here.

Follow Patients From Evaluation Through Discharge

You will have the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships and see the full impact of your care.

You will track progress over time, modify treatment when needed, educate patients throughout the rehabilitation process, and help them return to the activities and level of independence that matter most to them.

Continue Growing as a Physical Therapist

If you are early in your career, you will have access to ongoing mentorship, clinical collaboration, and professional development as you build confidence in outpatient practice.

If you are an experienced PT, you will have the freedom to bring your clinical experience into the role while continuing to sharpen your skills.

Build a Career That Leaves Room for Your Life

A sustainable Physical Therapy career should support your life outside the clinic.

With a predictable weekday schedule, early Fridays, and no on-call responsibilities, you can continue building your career without relying on nights, weekends, or unpredictable coverage demands.

What You Will Do

As a Physical Therapist, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations and reassessments.
  • Identify movement limitations, functional deficits, and patient-specific goals.
  • Develop individualized plans of care.
  • Provide skilled hands-on treatment and therapeutic interventions.
  • Prescribe and progress therapeutic exercise.
  • Use neuromuscular re-education and other appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Monitor objective outcomes and patient response to treatment.
  • Modify treatment plans based on measurable progress.
  • Educate patients on their condition, recovery process, movement, and long-term wellness.
  • Help patients improve strength, mobility, balance, function, confidence, and independence.
  • Coordinate care with Physical Therapist Assistants and support staff.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Create a positive patient experience from evaluation through discharge.

The Patients You May Treat

Your outpatient Physical Therapy caseload may include patients with:

  • Orthopedic conditions.
  • Post-operative rehabilitation needs.
  • Joint replacement recovery needs.
  • Geriatric rehabilitation needs.
  • Balance and mobility deficits.
  • Strength and conditioning needs.
  • Functional movement limitations.
  • Reduced independence following injury, surgery, or illness.
  • Long-term mobility and wellness goals.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Physical Therapist who:

  • Is licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
  • Values high-quality, patient-centered Physical Therapy.
  • Is confident in evaluation, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning.
  • Communicates clearly with patients and the clinical team.
  • Is comfortable treating a diverse outpatient population.
  • Is dependable, collaborative, and team-oriented.
  • Is motivated to help patients regain function and independence.

You will be able to focus on evaluating well, treating thoughtfully, progressing patients based on their response, and seeing the results of your care over time.

Why You Should Apply Today
