Registered Nurse Step down

We are seeking a skilled Step-Down Registered Nurse for a travel contract in Auburn, New York. This position requires 12-hour night shifts with a commitment of 36 guaranteed hours per week.

As part of the Step-Down unit, you will care for patients transitioning from critical care to standard care, managing conditions such as congestive heart failure, post-heart catheterization, vascular procedures, respiratory failure, and cardiac dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include post-heart cath care, frequent vital signs monitoring, neurovascular checks, blood product administration, and cardiac drip titration.

The ability to manage BiPAP/CPAP, assist with chest tube procedures, and handle stroke and respiratory management is essential. Candidates must hold active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, and demonstrate proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and IV/PICC line management. Strong infection prevention and isolation precautions skills are required.
