**We are looking for a San Diego\-based Full\-Stack Software Engineer to join our team at Aphantic. This is a 100% onsite, full\-time position following a 9/80 schedule. **

**About You and the Role**

The Full\-Stack Software Engineer will design and build an on\-premises AI server project to focus on privacy for Defense and proprietary information without dependence on cloud providers. This position comes with end\-to\-end ownership of the project, leading the initiative from planning through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.

You will make the technical decisions for the system and be the primary owner of its quality and performance.

**Required Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field of study.
• 2\+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience independently managing projects across the full lifecycle.
• Experience with research, design, and requirements\-gathering.
• Strong skill in one backend language: Go, Rust, Python, C\#/.NET, or Node.js.
• Skill in web frontend: React or Vue, plus solid HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Linux server skills: Docker, networking, security.
• AI/GPU knowledge: nvidia\-smi, GPU memory, familiarity with LLM and image generation models.
• U.S. citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Monitoring and logging: Prometheus or a similar stack.
• API design: REST or gRPC, and auth (API keys or OIDC/OAuth).

**Compensation**

• Base salary: $90,000\-$125,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
