Web Developer (QA + Code Quality) — Medusa / Shopify

We're a small team running Shopify and Medusa storefronts, with two developers already shipping features quickly (including AI-assisted "vibe coding"). We're adding a third developer whose focus is different: making what we build solid.

What you'll do:

• Review and refactor existing code for performance, readability, and maintainability
• Set up and run QA: test plans, regression checks, bug triage
• Add automated tests and basic CI where there's none
• Catch issues in AI-generated code before it hits production
• Document how things work so the team can move faster

What we're looking for:

• Strong TypeScript/Node and React experience
• Hands-on with Medusa (v2 preferred) and Shopify (Liquid, Admin/Storefront APIs, Hydrogen a plus)
• Comfortable with testing frameworks (Vitest/Jest, Playwright or Cypress)
• Someone who reads other people's code carefully and improves it without rewriting everything
• Good communicator; you'll be giving feedback to two fast-moving devs

Nice to have: experience with Postgres, Redis, Git workflows/code review, and basic DevOps.

Pay: From $70,304.00 per year
