ABOUT THE ROLE

We are searching for an energetic, organized, hands-on Catering Coordinator & Local Marketing Manager to own catering and community outreach for our Beachwood, OH shop!

Catering Coordinator & Local Marketing Manager ($20+/Hr with Tips).

Base Pay: $15.00/hour guaranteed.

Average Tips: +$5.00/hour (earned daily/weekly).

Mileage Reimbursement: paid for all business driving.

Total Expected Compensation: $20.00+/hour.

Full-time.

This is a boots-on-the-ground role. About half your week is spent getting catering orders built and out the door perfectly, and the other half is spent out in the community getting the word out about PopUp Bagels.

PopUp Bagels originated as a backyard pickup window, aiming to share a freshly crafted bagel recipe with friends. It has evolved into multiple PopUp and permanent locations, offering always-fresh weekend pickup. Our mission is simple: preparing the finest, freshest bagels.

YOU WILL

Catering

• Own catering orders from start to finish: confirm details, prep and assemble orders, and check every order for accuracy.
• Deliver and set up orders for offices, schools, events, and private parties, on time and looking great.
• Manage the catering calendar and coordinate with the shop team so catering production runs smoothly alongside service.
• Follow up with catering clients after delivery and turn one-time orders into repeat accounts.

Local Marketing

• Get out into the community: visit offices, schools, gyms, hospitals, and local businesses with samples and catering menus.
• Build relationships with event organizers, office managers, and community groups.
• Represent PopUp Bagels at farmers markets, festivals, school events, and sponsorships.
• Find partnership and fundraiser opportunities, and track your leads and results.
• Work with our brand marketing team to roll out new flavors and promotions locally.

Everyday

• Support the shop team during peak times by pitching in wherever and whenever necessary.
• Help maintain a minimum standard "A" letter grade by following the Department of Health and PopUp Bagels food safety standards.
• Demonstrate professional maturity and strictly uphold PopUp Bagel's anti-discrimination & anti-harassment policies.

YOU HAVE:

• 1+ years of experience in catering, restaurants, hospitality, sales, or community outreach.
• An outgoing personality and confidence walking into a business and starting a conversation.
• Strong organization and an eye for detail. You would notice if an order was one schmear short.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A valid driver's license, current auto insurance, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record.
• Availability for early mornings and some weekends for events.
• Social media skills are a plus.
• The ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including loading, unloading, and carrying catering orders (frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds). These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
