Investment Data Analyst - Boston, MA

Job Description A leading investment management organization is seeking an Investment Data Analyst to join its growing analytics and technology team in Cambridge, MA . As an Investment Data Analyst, you will work closely with investment, product, and technology stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and develop tools that support investment decision-making. You will help design and maintain analytical applications, data pipelines, reporting solutions, and cloud-based data services while contributing to the evolution of a modern investment analytics platform.

Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience in data analytics, quantitative analysis, business intelligence, analytics engineering, or a related field Strong Python skills for data analysis, automation, and application development Advanced SQL experience working with large, complex datasets Experience designing and supporting data models and analytical datasets Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities Experience building dashboards, reports, or analytical applications Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure or similar platforms Experience using Git and working within modern software development practices Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience Desired Skills & Experience Experience in investment management, financial services, asset management, or capital markets Familiarity with React, TypeScript, or modern web technologies Experience working with APIs and data integrations Knowledge of data warehousing and enterprise data platforms Exposure to Kafka, Azure Event Grid, or similar messaging technologies Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing Interest in investment analytics and financial data What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities Analyze large investment and operational datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business insights Develop and maintain Python-based analytical tools and automation solutions Write and optimize complex SQL queries supporting reporting and analytics initiatives Build and enhance data pipelines and integration workflows Partner with investment and business teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions Create and maintain analytical reports, dashboards, and data products Support the development of internal applications and analytics platforms Contribute to data quality, governance, and data management initiatives Participate in testing, deployment, and continuous improvement efforts Document processes and share knowledge across teams The Offer Base salary: $160,000 - $165,000 Discretionary annual bonus Hybrid work arrangement in Cambridge, MA Opportunity to work with sophisticated investment data and analytics platforms Collaborative environment with strong visibility across business and technology teams You will receive the following benefits Medical Insurance Dental Benefits Vision Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
