Experienced Large Format Print Operator / Graphic Designer

Modern Image is seeking an experienced Large Format Print Operator / Graphic Designer to join our team in San Diego.

We specialize in automotive graphics, paint protection film (PPF), window tint, and custom vehicle applications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating large-format printers, preparing print-ready artwork, and producing high-quality vinyl decals and graphics.

Responsibilities

• Operate HP Latex large-format printers and cutting plotters.
• Use ONYX RIP software to prepare and manage print jobs.
• Create and edit graphics using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Prepare artwork for printing, cutting, and production.
• Print, cut, weed, and prepare vinyl decals and custom graphics.
• Monitor print quality, color accuracy, and material usage.
• Troubleshoot printing and cutting equipment.
• Maintain an organized production area.
• Coordinate with installers to meet production deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous large-format printing experience REQUIRED.
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop REQUIRED.
• Experience with ONYX RIP software preferred.
• Experience operating HP Latex printers preferred.
• Knowledge of vinyl cutting, decals, and print production.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Automotive graphics, vehicle wraps, and PPF experience are a plus.
