Staff Accountant

Overview

MMI Property Solutions, LLC is a property management company overseeing a portfolio of properties across country. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support our accounting team. This role puts a strong emphasis on construction draw management, helping make sure development and renovation projects are funded accurately and on schedule.

The Staff Accountant will prepare, review, and submit construction draw requests to lenders. That work includes compiling contractor pay applications, invoices, lien waivers, and supporting documentation, and tracking each project against its approved budget. The role works closely with project managers, general contractors, lenders, and title companies to reconcile draws.

Alongside construction accounting, the Staff Accountant will handle core property-level accounting: recording operating expenses, reconciling bank and escrow accounts, preparing monthly financial statements for individual properties, and supporting owner reporting, budgets, CAM reconciliations, and year-end audits.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing many deadlines at once, and confident communicating with both internal teams and outside partners. Experience with construction or real estate accounting, and with property management software such as AppFolio, is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preffered.
• 1-3 years of accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in Construction Draws.
• Familiarity with accounting software and systems; experience with AppFolio.
• Strong spreadsheet skills, attention to detail, and accurate 10-key typing.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
