Occupational Therapist - Cognitive Treatments

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will specialize in cognitive treatments, helping patients with cognitive impairments to enhance their daily functioning and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual treatments to clients remotely based on injury which may include physical, cognitive and/or mental health conditions
• Provide progress reports to evaluate the status of patients’ cognitive abilities and needs post motor vehicle accident.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients and achieve optimum patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Complete required documentation for third party payers (auto insurance)
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and in a timely fashion.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Currently licensed with COTO
• Certification in cognitive rehabilitation or a strong background in cognitive treatment methodologies.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with patients with cognitive impairments.
• Experience with Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting.
• Specialize in Cognitive treatment
• Experience with Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS)
• Familiar with OCF forms/HCAI is a plus.
• Knowledge of MVA and familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation requirements.

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
