Missing Sock Laundry Services is a rapidly growing commercial and residential laundry company specializing in pickup and delivery, wash-and-fold services, and commercial laundry solutions. We serve residential customers and businesses throughout New Jersey, with a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and exceptional customer service.

We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized Operations Manager to oversee daily laundry production, employee performance, delivery operations, and facility management.

This is not a desk-only position. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage employees, solve problems, improve productivity, and actively participate in daily operations, including driving delivery routes when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Production

• Oversee daily laundry production to ensure all orders are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Manage employee schedules and staffing requirements.
• Monitor employee productivity, including pounds of laundry processed per labor hour.
• Maintain quality-control standards and resolve production issues.
• Ensure efficient workflow between laundry processing and delivery operations.

Delivery & Fleet Management

• Oversee daily pickup and delivery routes.
• Monitor driver performance, including stops completed per hour.
• Track on-time arrivals, missed deliveries, and customer rescheduling.
• Ensure drivers follow company procedures, including photo documentation and route completion.
• Manage company vehicles, fuel usage, maintenance, and cleanliness.
• Drive delivery routes approximately four days per week as part of operational responsibilities.

Employee Management

• Train, supervise, and support laundry processors and delivery drivers.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, and individual performance.
• Verify employee hours and submit accurate weekly payroll information to HR.
• Address employee performance issues and complete incident reports and disciplinary documentation when necessary.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, and a positive work environment.

Facility & Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels for laundry bags, detergents, hangers, and other production supplies.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and organized.
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

The Operations Manager will be responsible for tracking and reporting key operational metrics, including:

• Driver productivity (stops per hour).
• Laundry processor productivity (pounds per hour).
• On-time pickup and delivery performance.
• Driver route and manifest completion.
• Photo documentation compliance.
• Customer rescheduling and missed deliveries.
• Weekly fuel consumption.
• Employee attendance and payroll hours.
• Quality-control issues and incident reports.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in operations management, logistics, transportation, laundry services, or a similar industry preferred.
• Experience supervising employees and managing daily schedules.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and operational tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze performance metrics.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and moving laundry bags.
• Willingness to take a hands-on approach to daily operations.

Compensation & Schedule

• Annual Salary: $62,400
• Weekly Salary: $1,200
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Position: Full-Time, In Person
• Location: Livingston, New Jersey
