Our Technology

Mindhop’s dotstream™ platform is a scalable, cloud-based data fusion and analytics system that ingests multimodal transportation data from diverse sources and provides a feature-rich user interface with GIS-based mapping, real-time data streams, and analytical tools for AI-assisted decision-making.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the CTO and working closely with the core development team, you will focus on integrating roadside devices, connected vehicles, and IoT infrastructure into dotstream™. This is a critical, hands-on role in a small, collaborative team, spanning systems programming and real-time data ingestion.

  • Develop and deploy software that controls roadside cameras, sensors, and message signs.
  • Develop and deploy software that exchanges data with other agency systems, using standard transportation industry protocols.
  • Develop and deploy Connected Vehicle technology (V2X).
  • Produce interface control documents, test artifacts, and technical documentation to public agency contract standards.
  • Remotely troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and device communication issues.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • Effective communication (oral and written), problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, enabling you to multitask across projects with minimal direction.
  • 5+ years of hands-on, professional experience in software engineering.
  • Expert-level programming proficiency in at least one language.
  • Hands-on experience working with operating systems: network stacks, threads, file systems, device interfaces, etc.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking and socket programming, with the ability to diagnose network configuration issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, including shell scripting and troubleshooting system and performance issues.
  • Experience building and deploying Docker containers.
  • Working knowledge of video streaming technologies, including codecs (H.264/H.265) and transport protocols (RTP/RTSP, HLS, WebRTC).
  • Some exposure to cloud engineering on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including systems administration, application deployment, and security best practices.

Salary: $120,000 - $145,000, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
