About this role
About the Opportunity
Good care starts with having the time, support, and space to connect with your patients. A private practice in Portland is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who values thoughtful care, meaningful collaboration, and a sustainable approach to clinical work.
This is an opportunity to enjoy the autonomy of private practice while being part of a connected, supportive team. You’ll work alongside therapists and other clinicians, with regular case consultation and opportunities to share ideas and learn from one another. The practice values individuality, inclusion, and genuine connection—and wants clinicians to feel comfortable being themselves at work.
An experienced administrative team handles credentialing, billing, scheduling, marketing, patient communication, and chart preparation. With that support in place, you can devote more of your attention to understanding your patients and developing individualized treatment plans.
You’ll provide psychiatric care for adults with mild to moderate mental health conditions, with the option to also see adolescents ages 14 and older based on your experience and interests. The role combines a hybrid schedule, a base salary plus production bonuses, comprehensive benefits, and paid onboarding to help you settle into your new clinical home.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a PMHNP who brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care and enjoys working with a collaborative team. You should be comfortable managing an outpatient psychiatric caseload independently while staying connected with colleagues through consultation and coordinated care.

- National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Active Oregon professional license or eligibility for Oregon licensure.
- At least one year of experience as a licensed psychiatric prescriber, with active prescribing within the past 12 months.

- Professional liability insurance in place before starting and maintained throughout employment.
- Availability for a full-time position with a minimum caseload of 26 patient sessions per week.
- Ability to work onsite in Portland at least one day per month, up to one day per week, with additional in-person availability as clinically needed.
- Successful completion of a background check following a conditional offer.
We’d especially welcome:
- Two or more years of psychiatric prescribing experience.
- Recent clinical practice experience in Oregon.
- Experience treating adolescents ages 14 and older, although an adult-only caseload is welcome.
Strong communication, timely documentation, and a willingness to participate in case consultation and community outreach are also important to this role.
