Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Milestones On The Go, LLC is a small but growing private pediatric practice in Charlottesville, VA. We offer Occupational Therapy services and partner with other professional disciplines, (i. e.

SLP, Play Therapy, Teachers, LCSW, PT) for co-treatments and/or collaborations for a multi-disciplinary approach. Never get bored with various options working on our innovative Milestones OT Bus (Mobile Therapy), at our brand new brick & mortar clinic, and/or in the community.

Milestones On The Go is seeking a fun loving, out of the box thinking, part-time (potential for FT) Occupational Therapist. Our practice is private pay and free from the restrictions posed by insurance companies so you will enjoy providing therapy that is meaningful to clients/families rather than that which is meaningful to insurance carriers.

Skills/Requirements

• Available to work weekdays (after school hours M, W, Th, or F) and/or weekends. It's up to you!
• Ability to work independently.
• Proven working experience as Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
• Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of Occupational Therapy particularly sensory integration, cognitive/behavioral principles, Developmental FOR, Handwriting Intervention, Praxis, and primitive reflex integration.
• Ability to manage kiddos with varying challenges including some with oppositional and/or aggressive tendencies.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Virginia.
• BS degree or greater in Occupational Therapy.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Professional Liability Insurance.
• Criminal Background Check/Child Abuse/Neglect Background Check.
