Information Technology Manager

**Middle River Regional Jail is now hiring for the position of Information Technology Manager. This is an administrative and supervisory position involving the management of information technology systems, equipment, and staff resources for the department.

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for directing and supervising staff assigned, network infrastructure, software applications, and equipment functions of the Jail information technology systems, and oversight of security network operations at the facility. ** **This position will be located at the facility and is not a remote position. **

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

**1\. ****Maintains all Jail technology infrastructure systems, servers, backups, security/surveillance, software applications, and inmate technology networks and peripherals. **

**2\. ****Works with managers to identify and analyze technology solutions for information systems for security systems and other administrative software solutions**

**3\. ****Manages contract services and vendors relating to technology in the facility**

**4\. ****Supervises, directs, and evaluates subordinate****staff. **

**5\. ****Prepares and submits required mandated Jail, State, and/or Federal reports. **

**6\. ****Compiles, maintains, and establishes required files for the****Jail. **

**7\. ****Disseminates information as required by****policy. **

**8\. ****Serves as a liaison between other departments, courts, or any other agency as****needed. **

**9\. ****Completes and/or reviews employee performance standard evaluations, training documents, and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with jail****policies. **

**10\. This is a full time, on\-site position. Regular hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.

m. to 4:00 p. m.

This position is not remote and requires the position to be available for occasional call\-ins as needed. **

**1\. ****Associate Degree from an accredited college or university with major course emphasis on Information Technology, Information Security, Networking, Data Analysis, or related****fields. **

**2\. ****Strong knowledge of network protocols, security protocols and infrastructure technologies**

**3\. ****Thorough experience in information technology with public, private, or military****agency, three (3\) years of which must be at a supervisory****level. **

**4\. ****Must be eighteen (18\) years of age or older**

**5\. ****Must be a citizen of the United States or legally employable in the United States**

**6\. ****American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid/CPR certified or become after employment**
