About this role
Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (APRN): Weight Loss, Hormones & Aesthetics | Tue–Fri, No Weekends
Location: Salina, KS
Schedule: Full-time, Tuesday–Friday, 7:30 am–5:30 pm. No weekends. No holidays.
Do you love helping women feel heard?
Most women who walk through our doors feel stuck. They’ve tried every diet. Many have felt judged by healthcare.
Some have been told their symptoms are “just aging.” They’re tired of starting over.
At Merit Weight Loss & Wellness, we help them figure out why, lose the weight, and keep it off. We’re looking for a Nurse Practitioner to lead our new Salina clinic and be the provider these women have been waiting for.
About Merit
Merit is a medical weight loss and hormone clinic for women, founded in 2022 by two nurse practitioners who are board-certified and certified specialists in obesity and weight management. We started in Topeka, expanded to Leawood, and are now bringing Merit to Salina.
We believe obesity is a medical condition, not a willpower problem. We don’t sell injections. We teach a complete system called The Merit Method that helps clients understand their bodies, feel in control, and build results that last.
Our providers are trained by us in that approach from day one.
What you’ll do
- Provide medical weight loss care, including GLP-1s, oral medications, and long-term weight management
- Evaluate and manage hormone replacement therapy for women in perimenopause and menopause
- Perform aesthetic services such as neurotoxin and microneedling (training provided if you’re new to aesthetics)
- Review labs, body composition, and health history to build personalized plans
- Adjust plans as clients’ bodies change, troubleshoot plateaus, and support them through maintenance
- Lead a small, close-knit clinic, with support from our owners and our Topeka and Leawood teams
Who you are
- Independent. You’re comfortable running your own schedule and making clinical decisions, and you know when to ask for input.
- Warm and non-judgmental. You meet every client where she is. No shame, no lectures, no “just eat less.”
- Positive. You bring good energy to a small team and to clients on hard days.
- A teacher at heart. You love explaining the “why” so clients finally understand their bodies.
- Growth-minded. You want to learn obesity medicine, hormones, and aesthetics the right way, and grow with a company that’s expanding across Kansas.
What we need
- Active Kansas APRN license (or eligible) and national board certification (FNP, WHNP, or AGNP)
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- 1+ year of clinical experience preferred
- Experience in weight management, women’s health, HRT, or aesthetics is a plus, but not required. We will train the right person.
What you’ll get
- A 4-day work week with no weekends and no holidays
- Paid time off
- Retirement plan
- Staff discounts on Merit services and products
- Hands-on training in The Merit Method from experienced obesity medicine specialists
- **Please note, at this time, Merit Weight Loss & Wellness does not offer health insurance
