About this role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced DevOps Engineer to lead the administration of our AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Database environments. This role requires deep expertise in AWS (including multi-account structures, SSO, and Organizations), hands-on experience with MongoDB cluster and MySQL/Aurora administration, and strong proficiency in CI/CD using tools like TeamCity and Git.
You will be responsible for automating deployments, ensuring system reliability and performance, and supporting a complex ecosystem of services and databases.
The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of modern DevOps practices—including infrastructure as code, proactive monitoring, and security automation—and collaborates effectively with global teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure across all environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage AWS multi-account structure (Organizations, SSO, IAM roles and permissions), and drive identity/permission management best practices
- Manage core networking and security components (CloudFront, API Gateway, load balancers, WAF/firewalls), and troubleshoot network issues
- Maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, and drive standardization across large-scale environments
- Operate and optimize database clusters (MongoDB and/or MySQL/Aurora), including backups, replication, performance tuning, TLS configuration, and access control
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity or Bitbucket Pipelines), with automated deploy/rollback and health checks
- Build system and application monitoring (CloudWatch as the core, combined with Datadog or Uptime Kuma), including log aggregation and alerting
- Implement TLS/SSL configurations to meet PCI-DSS and internal compliance standards; work with security teams to remediate vulnerability findings
- Optimize AWS resource usage and cost (tagging strategy, lifecycle policies, instance-type right-sizing)
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response, and produce related documentation
- Collaborate with development, QA, and distributed infrastructure teams; support onboarding and knowledge transfer
Must-Have:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE roles
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS multi-account management, IAM, and networking (VPC, load balancers, API Gateway)
- Strong production-level experience with at least one database platform (MongoDB or MySQL/Postgres/Aurora), including backups, replication, performance tuning, and access management
- Comfortable with Linux, Docker, and scripting (Bash, Python, or Node.js — any one)
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity or Bitbucket Pipelines — either is fine)
- Strong documentation habits and cross-team communication skills
- Mandarin Chinese communication ability
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with both MongoDB and SQL-based databases
- Proficient with Terraform or CloudFormation for managing production infrastructure
- Familiarity with third-party monitoring tools such as Datadog or Uptime Kuma
- Experience with PCI-DSS or similar compliance frameworks
- Track record of consolidating/standardizing tooling (e.g., unifying multiple CI/CD or monitoring systems)
- Using AI to automate tasks
