Responsibilities

• Therapists are responsible for the application of current knowledge, theory, evidence and sound clinical judgment in patient management.
• The therapist works closely with the patient, family and other members of an interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective individualized patient care.
• Therapists also serve as advocates and promoters of health, wellness, and fitness to all stakeholders.
• They serve as educators and mentors for therapy students, peers and other medical professionals.
• The physical therapist assists with department and program planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota as a Physical Therapist.
• Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, decision making and problem solving.
• Prefer board certification in clinical specialty area and/or advanced degree in health care field.
• Also prefer active participation within professional organization.
• Current physical therapy licensure in the state of Minnesota.
• Exemption Status Exempt Compensation Detail $85,467.20 - $128,252.80 / year Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full Time Hours/Pay Period 80 Schedule Details Full-time Monday - Friday working in acute care hospital with ~2 weeks out of every 8 in wound Care (inpatient and outpatient wound care) at RMH.
• Remaining time would be scheduled in the SMH Gen 5 acute care hospital practice.
• Weekend Schedule One in four weekends working Saturdays in wound care at RMH.
• Sundays could be scheduled at either campus acute care.
• Compensatory days off around weekend.
