About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in cross-platform mobile application development and enterprise backend services. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade Android and iOS applications using .NET MAUI while building scalable backend services using ASP.NET Core.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience delivering enterprise software throughout the full software development lifecycle. This individual will partner closely with Product, Quality Engineering, Architecture, Cloud Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing healthcare technology solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI for Android and iOS.
- Support and modernize existing Xamarin.Forms applications, including migration efforts to .NET MAUI.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and backend services using ASP.NET Core.
- Own software features and components from technical design through deployment and production support.
- Implement software solutions using MVVM, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and modern engineering best practices.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, startup times, and memory utilization.
- Develop and support offline-first capabilities, local data storage, synchronization services, and secure authentication mechanisms.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable code supported by automated testing practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture decisions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues through debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate across Product Management, Quality Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Operations teams.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Agile software delivery processes.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing and best practices.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Strong experience building enterprise mobile applications using .NET MAUI.
- Experience supporting or migrating applications from Xamarin.Forms to .NET MAUI.
- Expert knowledge of ASP.NET Core and REST API development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, software architecture, and SOLID design patterns.
- Experience with SQL Server and relational database design.
- Experience with asynchronous programming, multithreading, and application performance optimization.
- Experience with source control and software delivery tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Entity Framework Core.
- Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and cloud-based architectures.
- Experience implementing dependency injection patterns and scalable service-based applications.
- Experience developing offline synchronization solutions and mobile data persistence strategies.
- Experience implementing push notifications and mobile application monitoring.
- Experience with application performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience building healthcare technology, SaaS platforms, or other regulated software products.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Home Health or Healthcare industry experience.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Experience with medical device integrations or connected IoT solutions.
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
- Exposure to Angular, JavaScript, and HTML5 technologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building and supporting enterprise-scale mobile and backend applications. They are comfortable owning features from architecture through production support, demonstrate strong technical leadership, and thrive in highly collaborative environments. Experience within healthcare technology, home health, or other regulated industries is highly valued.

This position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package and individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills. At MatrixCare it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is: $130,000- $155,000
