**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at MARLORA POST ACUTE, a warm and welcoming facility specializing in compassionate care and rehabilitation.

**About the Role**

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments to help them achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life.

**Responsibilities**

• Evaluate residents' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities and functional limitations using standardized assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, resident goals, and physician orders
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercise, activities of daily living training, cognitive retraining, and environmental modifications
• Monitor and document resident progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes for residents
• Educate residents and family members on occupational therapy goals, treatment plans, and home exercise programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of occupational therapy services provided
• Participate in team meetings, in\-service education, and quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain current knowledge of occupational therapy practice and relevant regulations

**Qualifications**

• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the state of California
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
• Knowledge of current occupational therapy practice standards and regulations
• Proficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare software
