About M.I.F Seafood

M.I.F Seafood sells wild-caught Alaskan seafood direct to customers. Since 2023 we've sold at farmers markets, to wholesale accounts, and through our online store at mifseafood.com. We now sell through live shows on Whatnot, and we're growing that channel fast.

The role

We're hiring a full-time Live Selling Sales Associate to host our Whatnot live shows, about 160 hours a month (roughly 40 hours a week). You'll be the face and voice of M.I.F Seafood on camera: showing our salmon, halibut, crab and more, telling the story behind the catch, running auctions and flash sales, and turning viewers into repeat buyers.

Responsibilities

• Host live Whatnot shows on a set schedule, keeping energy high and the chat engaged for the full stream
• Present products clearly: species, cut, weight, where it was caught, storage and cooking tips
• Run auctions, giveaways, flash sales and bundles to drive sales and grow followers
• Answer viewer questions in real time and handle buyer messages after shows
• Prep each show: stage product, set up lighting, camera and audio, and load listings
• Work with the team to pack and ship orders promptly and keep inventory counts accurate
• Track show results (sales, viewers, new followers) and suggest ideas to improve
• Promote upcoming shows on social media
• Follow Whatnot seller policies and food safety and cold-chain handling standards

What we're looking for

Required

• Comfortable and confident on camera for long stretches
• Outgoing, quick on your feet, and good at selling without being pushy
• Reliable: you show up on time for every scheduled stream
• Comfortable with phones, apps and basic streaming setup

Nice to have

• Experience live selling on Whatnot, TikTok Shop, or similar
• Retail, sales, or food service experience
• Knowledge of seafood, fishing, or cooking
• An existing social media following

Full-time, about 40 hours a week

Schedule

Set weekly streaming blocks, including some evenings and weekends
