Family Law Associate Attorney

Summary

Join a small Family Law Firm and guide clients through sensitive, high-stakes matters with clear counsel and strong advocacy. You’ll manage family law cases from initial client communication and legal research through negotiation, motion practice, and trial preparation. This role calls for precise legal writing, and the ability to explain complex options in a practical, client-focused way.

What you'll do

• Advise clients on family law matters, particularly divorce and post-judgment divorce matters, domestic violence matters, and non-dissolution (FD) matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Interact with clients in meetings and telephone calls.
• Appear for court conferences, mediations, motion hearings, and evidentiary hearings.
• Negotiate resolutions, provide legal advocacy, and manage case files, deadlines, and administrative tasks.

What you'll bring

• Required: A license to practice law in New Jersey and some familiarity with Family Law in New Jersey.
• Preferred: Experience in divorce, domestic violence, non-dissolution, and post-judgment practice in New Jersey .
• Demonstrated ability in legal motion preparation, trial preparation, and discovery review/preparation.

Pay: $82,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
