Systems Engineer – Operations & Automation

About the Company

We are part of a group of five companies spanning property management, real estate brokerage, construction, and finance. We're hiring a Systems Engineer to join Lumen Property Management, our property management division, where we manage a growing portfolio of clients and properties across the Houston area.

About the Role

We're looking for a Systems Engineer (or related field) to support process automation and daily operations, working directly with our Director of Property Management. Open to current students (internship/part-time) and recent graduates (full-time).

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and special projects for the Director of Property Management
• Help build and improve internal workflows and automations (Google Sheets, Apps Script, DoorLoop, and similar tools)
• Identify repetitive manual processes and help streamline them
• Build and maintain internal dashboards and tracking systems
• Support data organization, reporting, and documentation
• Provide general administrative and operational support as needed

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with data and spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
• Basic scripting/automation experience (Apps Script, Python, SQL) is a plus, not required
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks
• Fluent English required

Pay: $2,500–$3,500 per month, depending on experience
