About this role
Job Summary
Ludlow Mansion Events is seeking an experienced, polished, and highly organized hospitality professional to join our team as a Wedding Sales & Marketing Manager.
The Ludlow Mansion is one of the premier wedding event venues in Southern Wisconsin, hosting weddings, social events, galas, and large-scale celebrations ranging from intimate gatherings to events exceeding 400 guests.
We are seeking a confident hospitality professional who thrives in a fun, fast-paced, event environment and understands the balance between sales, client experience, operational organization, and event execution.
This is not an entry-level sales and marketing position. This is a hands-on hospitality leadership role within an established event venue with strong operational systems and sales programs already in place.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of direct sales, event sales, or venue sales experience.
This position is focused on marketing, advertising, event sales and client management, as well as some wedding management.
Responsibilities
Drive new wedding and private event bookings — this is a revenue-generating role with real booking targets, not just administrative coordination. You're expected to proactively pursue leads.
Respond to and follow up on all inquiries promptly including leads, referrals, and marketing campaigns — within 24 hours.
Help develop and supplement social media presence and website marketing
Help develop marketing and advertising plans
Conduct or coordinate venue tours and client consultations
Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the planning process
Manage complex event details, timelines, logistics, and vendor coordination
Coordinate with bar managers, ownership, and outside vendors
Lead client communication with professionalism, confidence, and organization
Manage contract preparation, event planning documentation, and final event execution
Help drive sales growth, upselling opportunities, and post event reviews and referrals
Work within established pricing structures and facility guidelines while confidently negotiating and assisting clients with package selections, upgrades, and event solutions
Support and collaborate with an experienced ownership team
Use customer relationship management (CRM) system, sales management systems, and analytics and reporting tools to track activity, analyze results, and inform decisions.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
2+ years hospitality, convention services, conference services, or event management experience preferred
Experience managing weddings, social events, galas, or high-volume events strongly preferred
Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving ability
Professional, polished, organized, and detail-oriented
Strong communication and client relationship skills
Ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously while maintaining operational control and professionalism
Strong hospitality mindset with the ability to confidently guide clients through complex event planning processes
Experience with customer relationship management software preferrred
Candidates with wedding event sales, or event management backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Experience in sales, outside sales, marketing, business development, or account management; demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Hospitality or Marketing strongly encouraged to apply
