Accountant

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related financial field with a goal of obtaining their CPA license in the future (if not already holding a CPA license).

Responsibilities

• Manage and build client relationships.
• Prepare tax returns of various levels of complexity, including corporation, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and non-profit income tax returns.
• Assist with bookkeeping and data entry for client financial data.
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Generate financial reports as required, providing insights into financial performance.
• Conduct financial audits on governmental agencies located in West Virginia.
• Prepare financial statements and regulatory reports for governmental agencies located in West Virginia.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least one year of tax preparation experience.
• Previous bookkeeping experiecne preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
• Knowledge of debits and credits, as well as general ledger reconciliation processes.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $41,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
