Standard Job Description Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle.

Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.

Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications

Active DoD Secret Clearance

DoD 8140/8570 Certification Level II (Security+ CE, CySA+, CISSP)

Knowledge of Agile DevSecOps principles and methodologies

Experience with application deployment and troubleshooting

Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), containerization, and cloud-based

platforms (AWS, Azure)

Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP,DNS, DHCP) and IT service management tools,

Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow)

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, and scripting languages

like Bash, Perl, and PowerShell

Must be available to support weekend and after-hours application deployments

Desired Skills

Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, including 3DX (ENOVIA, CATIA,

DELMIA) and other PLM tools such as Teamcenter and Xelearator

DevSecOps expertise with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline development, infrastructure

as code (Ansible, Kubernetes, Terraform), and GIT version control

Certifications

  • RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
