Role: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities caused by injury or disease. Services are delivered across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies tailored to individual patient needs and family input.
- Treatment Planning & Care: Execute treatment plans, select appropriate activities, and adjust goals as needed, providing patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
- Documentation: Record evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental guidelines, maintaining accurate and timely records.
- Professional Conduct & Customer Service: Uphold high ethical standards, demonstrate cultural competence, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with team members and patients. Promote a positive environment and apply service recovery principles.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education, complete required competencies, and participate in onboarding and training activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with a Master’s or Doctoral degree.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the relevant state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
