Physical Therapist – Acute Care

Role: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities. They provide services across the continuum of care, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

• Responsibilities: Develop and revise treatment plans with patient and family input, deliver therapy sessions, educate patients and families, and coordinate discharge and follow-up care. Collaborate with physicians on treatment programs, establish realistic goals, and document evaluations and treatments according to protocols.
• Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy; licensure as a PT; BLS certification; effective communication; customer service orientation; teamwork; and basic computer skills.
• Additional requirements: Adherence to ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, professional development, and participation in training and meetings.
