Role: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs aimed at improving mobility, relieving pain, increasing strength, and preventing deformity in patients with disease or injury. Services are delivered across the continuum in a cost-conscious, quality-focused, and customer-oriented manner, adhering to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Treatment Planning and Care: Implements treatment plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with patient/family input, provides education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
- Patient Assessment: Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, goals, and discharge plans, involving patients and families in care planning.
- Documentation: Records evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental protocols.
- Professional Conduct: Maintains ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, dress code, and effective communication. Participates in meetings, training, and process improvements.
- Customer Service: Demonstrates a patient-centered approach, fosters teamwork, and applies service recovery principles to ensure positive patient and team experiences.
- Professional Development: Completes required education, competencies, and participates in orientation and mandatory activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist, with BLS certification upon hire.
- Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
